Immediately after graduating from high school, I worked in the service industry in Ginza, Tokyo. I returned to my hometown because I believed that "Tokyo is a place to study, and if I'm going to get married, it should be in Kagawa." Hoping to gain new skills in Kagawa, I decided to work at Reoma, which offers a variety of positions including hotel restaurant and front desk, as well as park operations.

Job Description JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB DESCRIPTION

I am in charge of customer service at a hotel restaurant. As a waiter, I perform an all-round job, including serving customers on the floor, serving food, cleaning up afterward, and deciding on the layout so that customers can easily get their food.

Our hotel serves buffets with different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so we have to change the layout and replace the dishes within a limited time. We aim to be able to welcome our guests in the best possible condition three times a day.

The appeal of working at Reoma WHY WORK REOMAWHY WORK REOMA

As this is a hotel that attracts many family guests, being able to interact with children is one of its attractions. It is not uncommon for small children to experience a buffet for the first time. On the floor, staff are always on the lookout to watch over the children's 'first experience' and provide immediate support if necessary. In the newly established kids' corner, the staff pooled ideas together to come up with a layout that included lowering the serving counter so that children can enjoy the buffet on their own. We hope that lots of children will come.

What encourages me are the words of customers. Of course, "Thank you" is great, but the words "Thank you for all your help" really touch my heart. It makes me realize that the things I do every day are special to customers, and it makes me want to try harder next time.

I'm from Kagawa Prefecture and I love my hometown. I also think it's great to be able to share information about Kagawa's food and tourist spots with customers from outside the prefecture.

My Dream at Reoma MY DREAM IN REOMAMY DREAM IN REOMA

My goal is to advance in my career. I think about the steps to reach my goal in life and place emphasis on experiencing as many things as possible for my own growth.

My first goal is to become a manager. I have seen and experienced many things in Tokyo. In particular, I have the impression that Tokyo is at the forefront of work style reform, and I feel that I have learned a lot about work styles that prioritize private life.
If I become a manager, I would like to find problems and improve the company to increase employee happiness. I think it is important to have a corporate culture where people express their opinions with the intention of "making the company better," so I would like to value the opinions of employees, consider them each time, and incorporate them. To that end, I would like to gain experience in as many departments as possible and become a person who can be trusted and relied upon.

    My top picks at Reoma

The most recommended place is the lounge on the 5th floor of the hotel. There is a manga corner, and it is a relaxing and comfortable space. At night, the indirect lighting creates a calming atmosphere. There is also a ping pong table on the 3rd floor, so we hope you will have fun playing with your family and friends after taking a bath in the hot spring.

This job is suitable for the following type of person!

Hotels have a lot of guests, so I think people who can have fun conversations with people and who can take on challenges and work positively are suitable. Also, in restaurants, cooperation between staff is essential to ensure smooth serving of food. Being able to value teamwork is also important.

  • This is what's interesting about Reoma!

I think what's interesting about Reoma is that people you don't usually meet often, such as the president and general manager, are surprisingly close to you. The other day I had the opportunity to have a personal meeting with the president, and I was able to directly tell him about the things I'm usually thinking about, such as ways to improve my work. I think we have created a culture where staff feel comfortable expressing their opinions and where those opinions are listened to.

relationshiprelationship

He is friendly and always thinks about what the customer wants. Although we are many years apart in age, we are friends who can joke around and laugh with each other regardless of rank. However, he has a clear division of work and sometimes comes to me for advice.

He has a positive personality and is loved by everyone. He is like a younger brother to me, but I trust him quite a bit at work and sometimes we can communicate with just eye contact. I think he is someone who can understand the feelings of those below him, so I hope he will work hard and aim to move up.
