I first learned about the hotel industry when I had the opportunity to hear from someone who worked at a hotel in elementary school. After that, I watched a morning drama set in a hotel in Okinawa, and my image of what it would be like to be able to make customers happy like that grew. When I heard about our company's philosophy of creating memories together with customers, I felt that this was close to my own desire to work in the hotel industry, so I decided to work there.

I deal with customers at the hotel front desk. Customers ask me about not only the hotel itself, but also events at the park and the current state of blooming flowers at Oriental Trip's flower event, so it's essential for me to gather information about Reoma as a whole. When school trip students visit, I make a chart of staff roles and inform general customers so that all customers can have a comfortable stay. As the end of work approaches, my tiredness tends to show on my face, so I try to keep the corners of my mouth up and always smile when interacting with customers. I also guide customers around various places as a tour conductor for optional tours and am in charge of training temporary employees.

The appeal is being able to meet repeat customers who say, "I'm back again." Reoma has been loved by locals for a long time, and we have repeat customers who say, "Last time I came with my child, but this time I'm with my grandchild." Some guests tell us about their memories of Reoma, and we serve them with the hope that they will have a good time this time too.

For people visiting Reoma for the first time, we first guide them using easy-to-understand language so that they can get to know Reoma. On the other hand, repeat visitors already know the basics of Reoma, so we try to convey more meaningful information, such as "These flowers are blooming now and they're beautiful."

Another appealing thing about working here is that we have colleagues who are considerate and cooperative with each other. When I'm busy, someone will kindly take care of something that I thought I should do later, or cover for small mistakes, so it's great that we can work together and help each other out.

My dream is to become like the senior I look up to, someone who can take care of everyone before thinking about myself. Right now, I still prioritize myself, but I want to be able to look around me and take the initiative.

To achieve this, I try to proactively go out to the lobby rather than just waiting at the front desk. If I see a customer looking around, I'll ask them if they're looking for something, and if I see trash on the ground, I'll casually pick it up. I try to be mindful of my surroundings. I think that the accumulation of such actions will help me develop the ability to see the bigger picture.

It would be best if I could create an atmosphere that makes customers think, "I'll ask that person." I want to hone my skills to talk to various customers and have them talk to me. In the process, I hope to become someone that all the staff can naturally rely on.

    During my student days, I experienced various customer service jobs such as izakayas, set meal restaurants, and bridal businesses. I wanted to acquire the ability to serve customers of all ages, as people of all ages visit hotels. I always thought I was smiling when serving customers, but once a customer told me that I was not smiling. That gave me the opportunity to be more conscious of smiling.

She's usually very reliable and has a big sister-like personality. Although she's reliable, she can also be a bit clumsy, which is what makes her cute. When we have a day off together, we sometimes research good restaurants and go out for lunch.


She is about the same age as my daughter, so she looks up to me as a mother to Kagawa. At the company BBQ, she shows us a side of her that she doesn't usually show, her weakness for alcohol. Even in that situation, she is considerate of the people around her, which I think is typical of her. I hope she will continue to learn and grow.
