I had a great time there, and I wanted to be in a leadership position, so I applied for a full-time position. I also wanted to be involved in creating a workplace where people who like children and customer service can work happily and comfortably.

I work in the operation of the attractions in the park. My main responsibilities are explaining things to be careful of when using the attractions and operating the machines that run the attractions.

The Birdland area that I am in charge of has eight attractions that rotate daily. In order to actually operate them, I need to obtain a license. The training period varies depending on the attraction, but it usually takes anywhere from a few days to a week. Because the park is a fun place, I work with a strong awareness that "my job involves taking responsibility for lives. Safety comes first."

The appeal is being able to connect with a wide variety of people. The park has guests of a wide range of ages, from small children to grandparents. It's fun to interact with customers of different ages and with different values. I feel that my many experiences have helped me improve my communication skills.

In addition, the cast members who work at the park come from all over the country, and they also have opportunities to interact with each other. In fact, I met my wife, who is from Okinawa, as a fellow cast member. We are now blessed with two children, and I took childcare leave when my second child was born. It was only about a month, including the time before and after the birth, but I realized how difficult childcare can be, and I think it was a very good experience.

To be honest, I thought it would be difficult to take childcare leave, but my cast team members were so supportive that they even asked me, "Is one month okay?" They not only support me at work, but also give me a lot of advice as senior childcare workers. Another great thing about working at Reoma is that I have colleagues of different ages.

My current goal is to create an environment where cast members of all ages can work happily and safely, and to work on human resource development.

The reason I wanted to focus on creating a good working environment was because the number of people working at theme parks had decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reoma is the closest theme park to me and it's a place that holds many memories for me, so I wanted to first make it a fun workplace so that more people would want to work there.

I am currently studying new employee training to develop human resources. We have employees of all ages, including students, housewives, and temporary workers, so when we conduct training, we teach them to be careful about their language, how to greet, and how to stand. It is important to convey fun, but we also make strict instructions to ensure that they are aware of safety. In the future, I would like to become a manager so that I can improve the entire park.
